With their guidance, you'll uncover a piece of hidden natural beauty nestled deep in the mountains. You'll have the option to take E-bikes to the hiking trail, or be driven by your guide. Follow them along the hiking trail and soon you'll come upon the site known as The First Waterfall. On warmer days, you can take a dip and enjoy the cool water from the natural pools formed within the rocks. Next, your guide will take you along the trail to the Second Waterfall. Tucked away in a place not many know about, this is a true hidden gem in Stellenbosch. You can stop for a while to admire the waterfall and, of course, take some gorgeous nature shots before heading back the way you came.

The start of the Second waterfall hike sits deep into the Jonkershoek valley. Gradual at the beginning with a well maintained sandy path, we will pass the first waterfall visible from far on the approach.
After a quick stop and possible swim on the warmer days, we will carry on to the second waterfall. Just before we enter the kloof there are a few quick steps up and over before we arrive at the river.
From here we follow the river to the origin up the kloof the start of the Eerste Rivier. The route follows the same way back out as in.

Hike Distance: About 9.8 km / 6 miles
