Melbourne Experience Gifts: Make your own artisan scented candles with this ninety-minute interactive workshop on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
Arrive at the Dromana Scent Lab, the first of its kind in Victoria, and enjoy a glass of juice or sparkling wine, before an hour and a half of fragranced fun. The knowledgeable team will guide you through the art of candle-making before you take a journey through the forty delightful scents on the scent wall. Choose your favourite fragrances to create your own custom blends before creating two of your own bespoke fragranced candles. With one large soy wax candle and one small tin soy wax candle to take home, you can gift one to somebody you love as well as keeping one for yourself. You’ll be given all the materials you need, including an apron, so all you need to bring is your sense of creativity and a keen sense of smell!

Join us in the Red Hill Candle Co Scent Lab located in Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula where you will get hands on and learn the basics of candle making. Our 90 minute workshop is designed to be a fun memorable day out rather than a heavily detailed training on making candles. At the end of the workshop you will have designed and made two of your very own custom fragranced candles to take home.
What's Included:
- 90 minutes of fragrance and candle fun
- A talk introducing you to candle making and fragrances
- All the materials needed to make your candles
- You will get to make;
- x1 large soy wax candle
- x1 small tin soy wax candle
- *Bonus!* A complimentary glass of bubbles or juice on arrival
Important things to note:
- Your large candle will take approximately 2-3 hours to set. You are welcome to collect it later that day or during operating hours, or your candles can be posted to you for $10 to anywhere in Australia.
- Workshops are generally held upstairs (one flight, with no lift) in the Scent Lab, please contact the experience provider in advance if you have mobility concerns or to discuss what alternative arrangements may be available.
- There are 40 fragrances to choose from and you can mix and match up to 3 different scents for each candle you make.
Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 8 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.
