From here, follow your guide through three different farms all utilizing the rich soil of Yolo County to grow their unique produce. Sample wood-fired pizza, and indulge in a gourmet vinegar and olive oil tasting. The Capay Valley is an undiscovered gem right in Sacramento’s back yard, in Yolo County. It is the home of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, and some of the richest soil in the world. Yolo County is just west of Sacramento and within a two hour drive of Sacramento.
On the same latitude as Calistoga and just over the hill from Lake Berryessa, Capay Valley is home to world class farms that produce everything from fruit and nuts to award winning olive oil and wine.
The tour will guide you through the valley and we will stop at three farms and meet the farmers, get tours and best of all, tastings. Spend an afternoon exploring your backyard and enjoy a day in this beautiful place meeting the people that grow much of the food you eat. If you get a CSA box, the produce very likely came from Yolo County.

- Guests will drive their own car from location to location. GPS info will be provided. - Total distance from the meeting location will be approximately 4 miles.
- This tour is suitable for all ages, with minimal walking involved. Non alcoholic beverages provided.
- We recommend hats and sunblock and a personal water bottle. Water will be provided at all stops
- This tour will last about 3.5 - 4 hours and includes tasting of 5 wines, lunch, lavender treats, olive oil tasting, glass of wine and charcuterie.
- The maximum number of people on this tour is 12 people. Contact us if you have a larger group to inquire about a private tour.
- The tour will not run with fewer than 6 people. In the event the tour does not get booked for 6 people we will contact you the day before your tour date to reschedule or to provide a refund.
- This tour takes place mostly outdoors and we will follow guidelines for safety provided by the state and county health department. Bring a mask just in case.
- While we can't accommodate all food requests, please do let us know BEFORE the day of the tour if you have any allergies, or preference for vegetarian, vegan or gluten free options.
Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 3 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
